Today marked the end of another perfect weekend on Dale Hollow for me...water temp in the low 50's, a 9 foot rod in my garlic fish dope covered hand, and a handful of battles with some Smallmouth Bass that a lot of people around the world would love to feel a tug from (pictured left :). But what's ironic is that I saw some fish weighed in at the Smalljaw (http://www.Smalljaw.com) tournament this weekend that I would love to feel a tug from. I think I'm getting closer to that day though because we really wore them out over the last few days. Some of the most dedicated Smallmouth Bass fishermen you'll find attended this weekend's event, and it was apparent by the quality of fish weighed in. I'm proud to say that my first Dale Hollow tournament as a participant was at this one as well. Andrew Robertson is a good friend of ours and we're excited about working closer with him & Smalljaw in 2010.View more pics or our fish by clicking here... I would like to thank a couple of our sponsors for providing us with boats that we used to pre-fish with and get some amazing pics & video (video will be posted soon) and as usual their amazing hospitality: Tournament Results
Source: Smalljaw.com By Andrew Robertson The dinner was a blast and thanks to our great sponsors we had lots of great things to give away. I already can't wait till next year... Congratulations to our winners Team Gottschalk/Canterbury with a Big fish Day 2 that was worth $700 and a 1st place finish with a total weight of 12.52 lbs and was good for $1,050. 2nd place was a close race with a first year team of Hawks/Botts that took home $5.25 for a total weight of 10.58 lbs. 3rd place was won by Team Arms/Arms with a total weight of 9.78 lbs that paid out $310 and $700 for thier nice big fish on Day 1."
