What Are Points?
Points are like money, except you can't walk into Wal-Mart and buy a rod with them. They are only valuable to you here, on DaleHollowFishing.com. When you sign up for a
free account you will have your very own points account which tells you how many points you have, what you did to collect them, and when you collected them. You can access your points account, or Points Log, from the Member Menu in the left column of any page.
How Do I Get Them?
There's many ways to collect points. For starters, you are given 100 points just for signing up on our site. Here's a list of a few other ways to collect points:
- Click on a points button on a Sponsor's directory page.
- Post new topics or reply to topics in the forum (NEW!)
- Find points buttons in articles.
- Invite your friends to join by using the link in the Member Menu.
- Answer member surveys found on the Bonus Points Bulletin
You can also get big chunks of points using a Bonus Points Code. Bonus Points Codes can be redeemed by entering a special code into the Bonus Points Code box on the right hand side of many pages on this site. You can find out where and how to get Bonus Points Codes by checking the Bonus Points Bulletin. A common way to get codes is to subscribe to our newsletter,
"Get Hooked", where you will find a Bonus Points Code in some issues!
What Can I Do With Them?
Glad you asked. We wouldn't have you running around collecting points for nothing! As stated earlier, points are like money, so when you've collected enough of them, you can "spend" them on prizes in the Prize Bin. Prizes include free cabin rentals, boat rentals, fishing gear, houseboat rentals, gas cards, apparel, and other cool stuff. We'll be adding new prizes on a regular basis so be sure to check the
Prize Bin frequently.
